healthy eating and lacrosse pilot program

The pilot took place at the American Indian Magnet School, St. Paul, in partnership with Flipside After School Program. Programming took place four days a week: two lacrosse days and two healthy eating days. Dream of Wild Health led the healthy eating classes and cooking curriculum. Twin Cities Native Lacrosse ran lacrosse practices with the students.

This project was successful with about 20 students attending all four days of programming each week! The pilot program wrapped on May 11 with a BBQ provided by Robert Stately, after lacrosse practice. Currently, Project 3 is working on programming in the fall with Minneapolis, St.Paul and Duluth public schools.
